Consultation

Why Have a Consultation?

A consultation is a relaxed chance for you to get to know us and find out what we could do for you to improve your hair.  This is how a consultation at Growth Factor Hair Clinic can help you:

  • Personalized Approach: We take the time to understand your unique hair concerns and medical history, allowing us to tailor our recommendations specifically to your needs.

  • Explore Treatment Options: Discover a range of treatment options, including PRP and other biostimulator therapies including Microneedling and Polynucleotides designed to promote optimal hair growth. We will discuss the benefits, risks, and alternatives of each option to ensure you have the information you need to make an informed decision.

  • Bespoke Recommendations: Receive customized advice and a treatment plan that aligns with your hair goals. Our advice is based on the latest scientific research and we only ever recommend safe and effective treatments.

  • Empowerment Through Information: Our goal is for you to leave the consultation feeling empowered and informed, equipped with personalized information and clear next steps to achieve the best possible hair growth.

What To Expect During Your Consultation

  • History

At your consultation, you will meet Gwen and will talk about your hair concerns and the history of the problems.
Your medical history, including any relevant conditions and treatments will also be discussed, along with any previous treatments you have tried and their outcomes.

  • Examination

Your hair and scalp will be examined and also viewed using a digital microscope and specialised microscope called a dermatoscope.  Photos will also be taken using the microscope/dermatoscope.  The reason for these investigations is to look for clues for the cause of your hair loss.

  • Investigations

If applicable, we may talk about blood tests, as these can be useful to assess any nutritional deficiencies and check hormone levels.
We may talk about DNA Testing if it could be useful for you. The Fagron TrichoTest helps us understand genetic factors that can help guide the best medication choices for your unique genetic makeup.

  • Personalized Treatment Options

After gathering all necessary information, we will discuss potential treatment options tailored to your needs. This includes:
An overview of available treatments, such as PRP therapy and biostimulator options.
A discussion of the benefits, risks, and alternatives for each treatment.
A transparent breakdown of costs and what to expect moving forward.

  • Next Steps

Our aim is for you to leave the consultation feeling empowered and informed. You will receive:
A personalized treatment plan outlining your options.
